KALA COMMISSIONED TO MAKE SITE-SPECIFIC WORK FOR OPUS ONE WINERY IN NAPA VALLEY

For a challenging site, a 9’ wide alcove in a stairwell, Kala designed a sculptural star map of constellations that can be seen from the Opus One vineyards. Collaborating with metal fabricator, Martin Munson, she designed the framework that houses LED low voltage lights which will backlight ceramic elements to suggest celestial bodies. Installation is slated for late Spring 2023.
