A hands-on pottery workshop at the Sonoma Community Center

Join Kala for a weekend pottery class and learn how to make a one-part drop-out mold for slip casting or press molding.

You'll learn how to design and make plaster and clay models for a cup, bowl, or small tray form — including how to mix plaster and construct a one-part "drop-out" mold from start to finish.

Lectures will cover the etiquette of working with plaster in a community studio, proper mixing technique, how to read undercuts, and how to determine what designs are appropriate for a plaster mold.
