Kala is teaching three virtual workshops this spring with Sonoma Ceramics — covering studio logistics, casting, and mold making — through the Sonoma Community Center.

Kala joins artist James Johnson for a co-exhibition of furniture and ceramics at Lockhart Gallery, curated by Dr. Alla Myzelev — opening February 6th in Geneseo, NY.

A three-week studio intensive in Jingdezhen — the porcelain capital of China — exploring the intersection of art, design, and production through experimental making with porcelain.

Kala is leading a ceramics workshop in Tuscany, combining studio technique with cultural immersion — including visits to Certaldo, Siena, and Volterra. May 26–June 5, 2019.

Kala is teaching an intro mold making and slip casting workshop at Sonoma Community Center. March 23–24, 2019.

Kala heads to Anderson Ranch Art Center in Snowmass, CO this June to co-teach a two-week mold making and slip casting intensive. Open to all levels. June 19–30, 2017.

Work from Kala's NEA-supported Terracotta CoLab residency is on view at Casey Droege Cultural Productions in Pittsburgh. March 13–May 26, 2018.

Kala is among five Sonoma County artists recognized in the fourth annual Discovered: Emerging Visual Artists program, produced by Creative Sonoma and the Petaluma Arts Center. On view January 24–March 18.
